Explore Some Good Eats In Kensington This Weekend
Since the good folks at the MTA are leaving the F train alone this weekend, it’s a great opportunity to discover the food in some of our neighboring communities.
The New York Daily News recently stopped by Kensington (around the Church Avenue F train station) to check out a few unsung heroes of their local food scene, including El Mirador (59 Church Avenue between Dahill Road and Story Street), Bobek Deli (321 Church Avenue between E 3rd and E 4th Streets), and Sugandha Restaurant (477 Church Avenue between McDonald Avenue and Avenue C).
Writer Rachel Wharton, who explored the neighborhood as part of the paper’s “Eating Along the __ Line” series, was particularly enamored with El Mirador’s tlacoyos, Sugandha’s stuffed paratha, and the golabki from Bobek, and neighbors are in agreement that Kensington’s Polish food is on point. Who’s hungry?
