Explore Marine Biology, Bird Beaks & More During These Kiddie Science Events At Cortelyou Library
Save the dates, parents! Miss Carmen of Kiddie Science is coming back to the Cortelyou Library (1305 Cortelyou Road, at Argyle Road) on Wednesday, August 12 and Monday, August 17, the Cortelyou Library Friends let us know.
Both events are free and open to all ages. Here’s what Miss Carmen said you can expect during the upcoming fun from Kiddie Science, which is a nonprofit that aims to bring science to young children:
- August 12: What is an adaptation? How does this help an animal survive? We explore bird beaks, camouflage, and more. Learn about the classification of living things and how special characteristics and adaptations help animals survive. Pick up limited free tickets at the main desk starting at 1pm.
- August 17: Come explore marine biology with Kiddie Science! Learn about the classification of living things and explore the anatomy of various sea creatures. This workshop involves the handling of fish and other ocean creatures. Pick up limited free tickets at the main desk starting at 3:30pm.
