The Rock ‘n’ Roll Brooklyn 10k returns to Prospect Park this Saturday, October 12, with a 7:30am start time. They’re expecting more than 7,000 runners and walkers, plus thousands of spectators, family and friends, so the park, and surrounding areas, may be a little more crowded than usual.

Some streets in the area will be closed because of the route, starting at about 7am. Streets will reopen on a rolling basis as soon as the last participant has passed and all course support materials have been removed:

• Grand Army Plaza loop: reopens about 8:40am
• Flatbush Ave between GAP and Ocean Ave: reopens about 8:45am
• Ocean Ave, southbound lanes from Flatbush to Parkside: reopens about 9am
• Parkside Ave, westbound lanes from Ocean Ave to Park Circle: reopens 9:20am

Additionally, some streets will have parking bans from Friday just before midnight to Saturday at about 11am
