Even The Wallpaper Goes Brooklyn

I’ll admit, I’m not entirely sure where in Brooklyn Mike D. from the Beastie Boys is from, or what neighborhood he lives in now. But wherever that may be, he made some pretty amazing wallpaper to decorate his brownstone with.

He teamed up with designers at Revolver New York and instead of roses, they used the Brooklyn Bridge, Hasidic Jewish men, the Cyclone and Biggie Smalls as his reccurring motifs.

They’re calling it toile. Help me out here, is that French for toilette paper? Just kidding, I’ve obviously Googled it already. It’s not.

I, for one, am a fan of this wallpaper. I’m also a thief, and so I made my own for the love of Southern Brooklyn. Obligatory Cyclone not included.

FYI, you can buy Mike D.’s or send a donation to Ned for mine. Except you won’t get anything from me because I’m only going as far as making the graphic.
