Ethan Hawke Movie 'Cymbeline' Filming On Argyle On Monday

Cymbeline, a film based on the Shakespeare play of the same name, will be shooting in Ditmas Park this coming Monday, August 26. ‘No parking’ signs are up along Argyle Road between Church and Albemarle, and on Church from Westminster to Rugby.

Updating the play to modern times, the film adaptation will “portray a battle between dirty cops and a drug dealing biker gang set in a corruption-riddled 21st century America,” according to Variety. It’s directed by Michael Almereyda, who made 2000’s Hamlet and is teaming up for this second Shakespeare makeover once again with Ethan Hawke.

Keep an eye out for some other big names, as well. The film also features Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil series), Ed Harris (Pollock), Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl), and Aton Yelchin (Star Trek Into Darkness). If you snap any pics of the cast, send them our way at editor@ditmasparkcorner.com.
