Enjoy Rides & Food At The Church Ave. Street Fair April 21
The annual Church Ave. Street Fair, presented by the Church Ave. BID and the 70th Precinct Community Council, will be held Sunday, April 21 from 12-6pm. From E 10th St. to Argyle Rd., Church Ave. will be filled with vendors, family entertainment, delicious food, and a pop-up outdoor seating plaza for fairgoers. Here’s some of what’s in store:
- A free belly dancing demonstration by Namaste Yoga, E. 10th St. and Church, 2:30pm
- Free preventative accessories for dogs and cats from Pawsitive Veterinary
- A free concert from Children’s Corner
- Free one-hour use of Honeydew Drop‘s indoor playground and arts & crafts
- Discounted beauty treatments from Z-Spot Salon
- 10% off for uniformed AYSO players from Lark
- Animal adoptions
- The Church Ave. Restaurant Hour, a 1pm food event featuring samples and a panel of judges including State Senator Kevin Parker, Brokelyn founder Faye Penn, Ditmas Park Corner’s own Mary Bakija (whoop!), and Wheated‘s David and Kim Sheridan, from the Church Ave. BID’s From Roti to Rhubarb program.

Visitors can sample $1 plates of specials from participating restaurants including Zagat-rated Am-Thai, Shayna’s, Lark, Meat Palace, and a sneak preview of a soon-to-open, Southern-influenced Church Avenue restaurant from the people who operate a popular Brooklyn food-stand.
