The Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, which features several players from our neighborhood, will be playing their third concert of the 2013-2014 season this Sunday, February 23, at the Brooklyn Museum (200 Eastern Parkway between Washington and Underhill Avenues).

The 2pm event to celebrate Presidents’ Week will feature A Lincoln Portrait, composed by Aaron Copland and with a speech portion read by by Harris Yulin, Greenhoe’s Learning to Dance, and Tchaikovsky‘s 5th Symphony in E Minor.

Tickets are $18 online or $20 at the door. Kids 16 and under are free, and museum members and seniors are $10. For more on our neighbors in the BSO, check out our interview with cellist Karen Zuegner here, as well as their recent profile in Industry Magazine.
