English Conversation Group Wednesday Nights At Cortelyou Library

The Cortelyou Library is now offering English conversation classes Wednesday nights from 6-8pm. Classes are free and there is no homework (“Unless you insist,” writes neighbor and event organizer Benno Groeneveld, who is originally from Amsterdam and gained his U.S. citizenship in 2003)–they’re simply designed to help non-native English speakers gain confidence while practicing the language in a relaxed environment.

Benno, an interpreter, translator, and former high school English teacher in the Netherlands, is also offering a U.S. Citizenship Exam prep class at the Cortelyou branch, Wednesday evenings from 5-6pm.
