After a string of car break-ins in the 88th and the 77th Precincts, City Council Member Laurie Cumbo and the 88th Precinct will hold an emergency town meeting on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Sister Vincent Therese Hall at  St. Joseph’s College at 245 Clinton Avenue.

Police said they arrested one suspect on March 1 they say is responsible for thefts from parked cars in the 88th Precinct during the last week of February.

“We want to let the community know we’re aware of what’s going on, and to remind people not to leave anything of value in their cars,” a spokesperson from Laurie Cumbo’s office said.
