Early Morning Water Main Break Makes Mess Of Wednesday Commute

Early Morning Water Main Break Makes Mess Of Wednesday Commute
The F Train

A Manhattan water main located on 13th Street and 5th Avenue broke around midnight Wednesday morning, flooding Greenwich Village streets, and wreaking havoc on several subway lines, including the F.

If you take the F into the city, note that northbound and southbound  F trains have been rerouted to the E from West 4 St to Roosevelt Avenue.

Additional changes to the B, C, D, E, M, and Q lines can be found here.

The MTA says that crews are on the scene attempting to clear water from the tracks, but you’ll definitely want to load up your e-reader and allow some additional time to get from point A to point B this morning.
