Early Morning Fire Injures Two In Crown Heights
CROWN HEIGHTS – Two people were injured during a fire that broke out early Tuesday morning in a high-rise apartment building in Crown Heights.
The FDNY responded to a call at 11 McKeever Place, located at the corner of Montgomery Street and Zenita Thompson Place, at approximately 3am. The fire started inside an apartment on the 14th floor of the building. Twenty units and 78 firefighters responded to the scene and had the fire under control by 3:43am, according to a FDNY representative.
Two people were taken to Kings County Hospital where they were treated for injuries. They are listed in stable condition, the representative said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
