Sunday Evening Fire Sparks On Coney Island Avenue
Last night, firefighters stamped out a house fire on the border of Ditmas Park and Kensington.
The all-hands fire started on the top floor of a residential building at 735 Coney island Avenue near Cortelyou Road, around 5:30pm on Sunday, February 19, said FDNY.
About 65 firefighters had the flames under control by 8pm.
No injuries were reported, and officials have not yet released information about the cause of the fire.
This is the second reported fire in Ditmas Park so far this year, though the first was an electrical fire that shut down the Q train earlier this month.
