E 18 St: Sidewalk Repairs

This picture was taken last week on East 18 Street (between Voorhies Avenue & Jerome Avenue).

The sign instructs pedestrians to use the other side of the street, but there’s no sign at the other side of the work area and you can see the pedestrian about to walk through. It’s a good thing that there doesn’t appear to be anything dangerous, or someone could have a lawsuit on their hands.

It’s not too clear what work is being done. It might be that the homeowners are making use of the city’s offer to fix cracked sidewalks.
