It’s got to be all Park Slope readers’ favorite event of the year, so [book]mark the date for the 22nd annual Park Slope United Methodist book sale! Whether you’ve got old books to donate or you’re looking for new ones to read, the enormous event is coming up soon.

The sale will be held over four days, February 19-22, at the church at 410 6th Avenue on the corner of 8th Street — it’s free on the weekend, with two preview days with an admission fee for those hoping for a first-look.

But before the big sale, anyone who’s got some books, CDs, DVDs, or vinyl records piling up in their apartment can drop them off on the following days (no VHS or cassettes, magazines, outdated textbooks or computer manuals, or any book that is damaged or falling apart). Donations are tax-deductible.

Donation drop-off dates:

  • Saturday, February 14, 12-4pm
  • Sunday, February 15, 3-6pm
  • Monday, February 16, 10am-5pm
  • Tuesday, February 17, 6-9pm
  • Thursday, February 19, 12-6pm
  • Friday, February 20, 12-6pm

If you’re in the neighborhood, you can arrange a car pickup of donations by calling Rick at 347-538-7604. All items must be boxed or bagged and ready to go.
