Where To Donate Toys Around Park Slope

The annual Toys for Tots drive is currently underway, and there are a lot of local drop-off locations where you can donate a toy, helping to ensure that so many Brooklyn children have a bright holiday.

The Park Slope Civic Council has once again organized the event, working with Park Slope Parents to make this the biggest drive yet. With over 30 locations throughout Park Slope, Gowanus and Carrol Gardens, there’s always a convenient place to drop off toys! Donate a new or very gently used unwrapped gift for children ages 12 and under at locations across the Slope. All toys collected are given to local organizations that work with families in need.

We also have all our locations conveniently mapped out for you.

Toys will also be collected at two festive events on Saturday, December 12:

Photos with Santa at the Old Stone House (5th Ave between 3rd and 4th Streets) from 10:00am-12:30pm

Jingle Bell Jamboree, held at Congregation Beth Elohim (Eighth Ave at Garfield Place) at 7:00pm.

For more locations to drop off gifts, see the list for our sister site, City Kid Corner.

Let’s make 2015 even better than last year! Thanks to your support, last year we collected over 2,700 toys that went to kids in need from organizations such as Safe Horizons, CHiPS, Crown Heights Community Mediation Center and others!

Tip for getting involved:

  • SHOP LOCAL to keep the community strong!
  • If you’re unable to shop local, put an extra gift in your online cart for those in need!
  • Make it a family affair and have your kids help choose the gift and deliver them together.

The drive continues through Wednesday, January 6, so while you’re out doing your own holiday shopping, if you can, grab something extra and help make the holiday a happy one for a local child in need.
