Donate To City Harvest At Neighborhood FDNY & NYPD Stations

Three cheers are in order for the kids over at P.S. 124, who recently collected and donated over 400 pounds of food to City Harvest. If you’d like to follow their lead, and help ensure that every New Yorker has enough to eat this holiday season (and beyond), non-perishable foods can be dropped off at NYPD and FDNY stations across the city through January 10, 2014.

Here’s a handy list of the stations in our neck of the woods:

72nd Precinct
830 4th Avenue (at 29th St)

78th Precinct
65 6th Avenue (at Bergen St)

Engine 220, Ladder 122
530 11th Street (between 7th and 8th Ave)

Engine 239
395 4th Avenue (between 6th and 7th St)

Engine 228
436 39th Street (between 4th and 5th Ave)

City Harvest notes that the most helpful donations include “canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned proteins like tuna or salmon, macaroni and cheese, plastic jars of peanut butter, and family-sized packages of hot and cold cereal.”
