Dome Playground Plan Presentation Postponed

All statements to the contrary, the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation will not present its final architectural plans for the redesign of Dome Playground’s tot lot, lawn, and stage to the public at tonight’s Community Board 12 meeting. According to a Parks’ spokeswoman, Parks is still making revisions to its plan and will not release the drawings until sometime next month.

Meanwhile, the Parks’ design team plans to meet with CB 12 Board members and elected officials at Dome Playground to review the design sometime soon, my sources say.

The 7pm meeting of CB12, at the Amico Senior Center in Borough Park, is the last before its summer recess. The address is 5901 13th Avenue, 3rd floor, at the corner of 59th Street, an easy ride from Kensington on the B16 or B9 bus.
