Dog Found Last Night On Cortelyou & E 18th Street

Seems like the cooler weather is piquing the curiosity of local pets–first this cat on Saturday (who’s thankfully being reunited with her owners!), and now a dog found running amok on the corner of Cortelyou Road and E 18th Street last night. Neighbor Michael, who found the dog, says:

He was running around in traffic and pulling trash bags out of trash cans rummaging for food. A few of us corralled him into a fenced-in yard at the corner and fed him hot dogs until the police came.
He’s wearing a collar, but no tags. He’s real big and strong, but sweet.

If you own the mischievous fellow above, simply call 311, ask to be transferred to the Center for Animal Care and Control, and specify where the he was found.

If you own a dog without adequate identification, make sure to get tags and a license (it’s illegal not to), and ask your vet about microchipping (which PAWSitive Veterinary on Church Avenue provides, if you’re interested).
