Whether you’re looking to see up-and-coming musicians, an outdoor movie, or wind down with some park yoga — this is your spot for the best weekday events in (and immediately around) Ditmas Park. Trini Pastelles at the Flatbush Food Court
When: Monday, August 22 from 6pm to 11pm.
Where: Sycamore Bar, 1118 Cortelyou Road between Stratford and Westminster Roads
What: Kick the Monday blues at the outdoor food court in Sycamore’s beautiful backyard garden. Tonight, enjoy Trinidad/Tobago delights with Trini Pastelles. Available until they sell out!
How Much: Priced per order.
Fiction of the 21st century book club
When: Tuesday, August 23 at 6:15pm
Where: Cortelyou Public Library, 1305 Cortelyou Road at Argyle Road.

Outdoor Movies: Star Wars at Amersfort Park
When: Tuesday, August 23 at 7pm (movie begins at sundown).
Where: Amersfort Park, 1041 East 38th Street between Avenues I and J.
What: Free summer movies outdoors continues with Star Wars: The Force Awakens on a beautiful Tuesday evening. Join Council Member Jumaane Williams and Assembly Member Nick Perry for refreshments, live music and contests. For more info, email Farah Louis at flouis@council.nyc.gov.

Live Music at Bar Chord
When: Wednesday, August 24 at 9:30pm.
Where: Bar Chord, 1003 Cortelyou Road between Coney Island Avenue and Stratford Road.
What: Check out the Strung Out String Band plucking old timey Appalachian Mountain tunes at our local neighborhood bar.
How Much: Free show, but don’t forget the drinks at the bar.
Yoga in Prospect Park
When: Thursday, July 28 from 7pm to 8pm.
Where: Long Meadow in Prospect Park. Enter at 3rd street or Grand Army Plaza, and look for the sea of mats.
What: Join Bend & Bloom instructor Marisa Sako for outdoor evening yoga in Prospect Park, during the magic hour when the sun sets over the lush tree line. This will be the last class of the summer! All experience levels welcome. To participate, bring your mat over to the Long Meadow, but first sign this waiver and RSVP. (If you don’t have a mat, just bring a towel or do your yoga directly on the cool grass).
