Ditmas Park Rental Roundup: Getting Some Alone Time
We know lots of folks are going out of town for Labor Day, which seriously cuts into Sunday’s open house supply–so this week, we’re looking at four local units that appeal to your milk carton-chugging, no pants-wearing, shower-singing and solitaire-playing self. Behold, available studios and 1 bedrooms around Ditmas Park.
Co-op off Coney
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,300, plus broker’s fee
Details: This 5th floor unit includes a combination living/bedroom area, but a separate room for dining–at least, that’s how the floor plan interprets the space. It’s fully furnished and close to Newkirk Plaza for the B/Q and shopping, as well as the 18th Avenue stop if the F train is handier for you.

1 Bed with Windows, Windows, Windows
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,400, plus broker’s fee
Details: It’s tough to know from the description and map exactly where this building is, but if you recognize that stupendous lobby, don’t hesitate to say. The light coming into this unit and hardwood floors are certainly pretty–we just wonder how the security and noise levels are, since the unit looks awfully close to the street. Even if this one doesn’t work out, Lisa Diamond (best realtor name of all time?) says she won’t rest until she finds you a gem.

Studio with Outdoor Space
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,500, plus broker’s fee
Details: The good is, this place has nice finishes like a glass vessel sink, stainless appliances, and granite countertops, plus a terrace (sadly, no photos of that). The bad is, unless it’s a typo, this place has been available since late January. Is it over a 24-hour dance club? Does it have an Amityville-ish history? What gives?

Quaint BSE Unit in a House
Available: Call for details
Price: $1,500, plus broker’s fee
Details: Considering this unit doesn’t have its own separate listing yet, there really aren’t a ton–but if you’re looking for a truly homey space that might be quieter than, say, that place of Lisa Diamond’s, this might be worth looking into.
