Ditmas Park Rental Roundup

Looking for an apartment to rent in or around Ditmas Park? We’ve rounded up a few spaces available in the neighborhood to help you on your hunt. If you live in one of the apartment buildings, let prospective neighbors know how you like it.

E 17th Studio for Less
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,050, plus broker’s fee
Details: There aren’t a lot of details available about this unit, but we’re too amazed by the price, especially considering how long it took to find any multiple-bed apartments under $1,000 per room this week, to really care. On top of the affordable monthly rent, gas is included, so you’ll only end up paying for electricity.

Sun-Filled 1 Bed
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,350, plus broker’s fee
Details: This unit for one in Prospect Park South certainly has enough windows, plus wood floors throughout–even in the eat in kitchen. Being close to the park is nice, though as CIA vicinity apartment dwellers ourselves, we can’t really vouch for how great it is to live next to the noisy avenue. But hey, maybe you’ll find it to not be a huge deal.

No Fee 2 Bed on Newkirk Avenue
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,750, no broker’s fee
Details: This pretty prewar includes French doors, picture moulding, wainscoting and parquet floors. The listing claims it’s on a high floor in an elevator building, and the building is pet friendly, too. Best of all, though, there’s no broker fee, and you’ll only need first and security (not the full three months ahead of time required by many landlords) to move in.

3 Beds Across from the Parade Ground
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,400, plus broker’s fee
Details: At $800 per roommate, this was actually the first apartment we saw during our search this week whose price tag didn’t make us think, “Is this for real?” The apartment has exposed brick and is located for easy Prospect Park access, plus the washer and dryer are nice. As a first floor unit, though, the place could be loud, and could use some heavier-duty security measures on the windows–which, hey, are worth asking for.
