Ditmas Park Reacts To Bar Chord

Bar Chord (1008 Cortelyou Rd. between Stratford and Coney Island Ave.) opened last night, to the great excitement of several of our Ditmas Park neighbors. Check out the freak out:

The bar offers craft beers on tap mostly ranging from $6-7 (including, as you can see above, Texas favorite Shiner Bock), as well as bottles and cans from $3-5. Pretzels abound, and Christy says they will be partnering with food trucks on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays–starting with cannolis and meatball sliders tonight from La Bella Torte.

They’ll be opening at 5pm again tonight, although regular hours are set to be 4pm-2am Monday-Thursday and 2pm-2am Friday-Sunday (although Sunday may change). Live music performances also start tonight with acoustic guitar player Michael Parrish from 9pm-12am.

The jukebox, in particular, seems to have gotten a collective thumbs up–not a huge surprise, since Christy told us last month that she’d included at least one song for everyone who weighed in on Bar Chord’s Facebook post about requests.

If you went to Bar Chord last night, what did you think? And if you didn’t, well, when are you going?
