With the Halal cart and trees on Cortelyou between Marlborough and Rugby today, it’s hard to even see exactly what’s what–but what existed in 1963 where Punta Cana Beauty Salon, Jim Brennan‘s office, Toy Space, and others are now?

This photo from Brooklyn Visual Heritage is actually credited to Servel Photo Shop at 1412 Cortelyou, which is now–you guessed it–Gabe’s Camera City.

We wish we could see some of the other signs in this photo more clearly–anybody else know of other shops that used to be on the block?
