Discover District 38’s Participatory Budgeting Projects At March 15 Expo
For the first time this year, Council Member Carlos Menchaca’s District 38 is taking part in participatory budgeting, which gives neighbors a chance to tell our local officials how we should spend $2 million dollars around the community.
If you would like to learn more about the participatory budgeting process, and discover what projects are on the 2014 ballot, don’t miss the District 38 Expo, scheduled for Saturday, March 15, from 12pm to 3pm, at the Recreation Center in Sunset Park (7th Avenue at 43rd Street).
In addition to details on this year’s projects, and information on where to vote the week of March 30 through April 6, the family-friendly event will include refreshments and music, providing a fantastic opportunity to get to know your neighbors.
RSVP is appreciated, so be sure to visit the PBNYC website to let organizers know you’re coming. For more information, contact the office of Council Member Carlos Menchaca at 718-439-9012, or email district38pb@gmail.com.
