Look up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… glass and steel.

A planned 25-story mixed use building being developed by TF Cornerstone at 300 Livingston Street, to be known as 33 Bond Street, has risen above street level with completion expected by 2017, reports New York YIMBY.

The 734,712 square foot space is expected to have 714 units and with 20% (143 units) set aside as affordable housing, according to NY YIMBY. It’s being developed with over $250 million in financing, according to the Commercial Observer.

Meanwhile, over in Clinton Hill, a new six-story building is planned at 505 Clinton Avenue according to NY YIMBY.

The 12-unit building will include a penthouse duplex, says NY YIMBY. It’s being developed by Dimora NYC, per NY YIMBY.

Additionally, a pair of new buildings will be going up on the through-block space between 164 South Oxford Street and 171 South Portland Avenue, reports Curbed. After the initial designs were panned, there have been a pair of new renderings released which call for 16 new units, according to Curbed.

The skyline in the Brownstone Belt has been changing rapidly over the last several years, due to both Pacific Park/Atlantic Yards and other developments through the area. At the same time, gentrification has become a hot topic of discussion, as have questions of redeveloping the infrastructure in the neighborhood.
