DeKalb Market Hall Finally Opens! [Photos]
City Point’s highly-anticipated DeKalb Market Hall officially opened this morning.
Located in the lower level of City Point (445 Albee Square West at Gold Street) in Downtown Brooklyn, this food-lovers paradise is one of the largest food centers in New York City. There are so many delicious options, it seems impossible to decide where to start!
The venue was buzzing with eager diners already when BKLYNER arrived just before 11am on Friday. With 40 vendors, the 60,000-square-foot maze of culinary treats offers a diverse array of options reflecting Brooklyn’s “cultural and ethnic diversity,” including the borough’s first outpost of the iconic, sky-high pastrami and corned beef sandwiches purveyor, Katz’s Delicatessen. See the full list of vendors at DeKalb Market Hall’s website.
The venue also features a show kitchen, cocktail bar, and live programming every day.
There are also two full-service, sit-down restaurants opening soon—Philadelphia Szechuan chain Han Dynasty and Fortina Pizza. A Trader Joe’s branch is slated to open soon as well.
