Dead Body Found In Prospect Park Lake

The body of a Brooklyn man was found by two boaters in the lake in Prospect Park on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Cops say they responded to a call about the body, spotted facedown in the lake near West Drive and Park Circle, at 5:30pm on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, police found the 47-year-old man, whom they’ve identified as Abu Ghanan Khalid of Westminster Road in Ditmas Park, unconscious but with no visible injuries or trauma. EMS declared the man dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is looking into the cause of death, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
