The Day: Willy Wonka, Nature Crafts and Game of Thrones

- The Brooklyn Academy of Music has a movie for your sweet tooth this weekend. On Sunday, BAM will show “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” as a part of BAMkids Movie Matinees. General admission is $10 for the 2 p.m. show. Tickets for kids 12 and under are $7.
- If the kids have a bit of cabin fever from being inside during the polar vortex, head down to Fort Greene Park on Saturday, March 15, for an afternoon of nature crafts. All supplies are provided for the free event, hosted by the Urban Park Rangers. Meet at the Fort Greene Park Visitor Center at 1 p.m.
- Barclays Center announced that it is holding a sneak preview screening on March 20 for the upcoming season of the HBO series “Game of Thrones,” as part of HBO’s traveling exhibition for the show. The arena will screen the preview for 7,000 fans in an “immersive event” hosted by the cable television network. Not only will fans get to see the season premiere before its April 6 release date, they’ll also get to see props and costumes from the show up close. Tickets are $15 and proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the charities Nothing But Nets
and Books for Africa.
