Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

The nice weather has continued and sunny skies should prevail throughout the day with temperatures in the mid-60s, according to the National Weather Service. We gave you a few ways to enjoy this warm spring weather, but wondered if you have any more to share. Let us know in the comments, locals.

Here’s more news to start your morning:

  • Atlantic Avenue will be the first of 25 major New York City roads to have its speed lowered from 30 mph to 25 mph, the New York Post reported. The speed reduction is all part of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Vision Zero plan to cut pedestrian deaths city-wide. In addition to the installation of new blue-and-white speed limit signs by the end of April, the New York City Department of Transportation will also re-time traffic lights to give drivers who speed more red lights.
  • The Greene Grape is back this month with a new #ProvisionsPix Instagram contest and this time the theme is pizza. Entering is easy – just pick up some fresh pizza dough and get creative with your ingredients. After you’ve made the pie, snap a photo, upload it, and hashtag it with #provisionspix and tag @greenegrape. You can enter as many times as you’d like by April 30 – just make sure you get the most likes to win a $25 Greene Grape Gift Certificate.
  • Say goodbye to Deputy Inspector Scott Henderson and hello to the 88th’s new Commanding Officer, Captain Peter Fiorello at a meeting tomorrow. If you want to show your gratitude to Henderson and welcome Fiorello, head to the Ingersoll Community Center, 177 Myrtle Avenue, at 6:30 p.m.
