Get those umbrellas ready, because we’re in for a rainy day, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will bump up towards the 60’s though, with a high of 56 degrees. The rain should last until late, with a chance of thunderstorms during the evening.

  • Feeling thirsty and ready for rhymes? Stop by Tipsy for Poetic Wine Wednesday with the folks from FOKUS for an evening of wine and poetry featuring spoken word by Angel Nafis. The night will get going at 7:30 p.m. at 584 Myrtle Avenue. A $5 donation is suggested at the door.
  • The second season of CEC ArtsLink’s One Big City project comes to a close tomorrow night with SOUNDING WALLS/SOANDO PAREDES. A collaboration between Jeremy Thal of Found Sound Nation and Brazilian muralist Ananda Nahu, SOUNDING WALLS/SOANDO PAREDES is inspired by the diaspora communities of Brooklyn and the Bronx. Bringing together stories, photos, video, sound, and evan a live performance, this free event at BRIC House is sure to be a unique experience. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at 647 Fulton Street.
  • Feeling more like having a laugh? Greenlight Bookstore has you covered tomorrow evening at this month’s edition of “Steamboat: A Literary Humor Series.” Hosted by comedian and humorist Bob Powers, Steamboat is a monthly showcase of humor writers from around the city. The lineup this time includes Cammi Climaco, Jason Diamond, Emily Flake, Wayne Gladstone and Andy Ross. Stop by this free event tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at 686 Fulton Street for some serious chuckles.
