Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Don’t be fooled if you start to see the sun peeking through the clouds today, according to the National Weather Service, we’ll see a high of about 24 degrees today and winds of up to 14 mph. So keep bundled up and make sure to stay warm, locals.

Here’s what’s going on around the nabe this week:

  • The Brooklyn Voices discussion series continues tonight with a tough topic: parenting. Greenlight Bookstore and St. Joseph’s College present a conversation between New York magazine contributing editor Jennifer Senior and correspondent for The New York Times , Jodi Kantor, on Ms. Senior’s new book “All Joy and No Fun: The Paradox of Modern Parenting.” The two will discuss scientific research that explores how children reshape their parents’ lives. The evening is free and open to the public and will take place at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s College at 245 Clinton Avenue.
  • Do you have any extra coats in your closet? Starting this Thursday, Fort Greene SNAP is holding a clothing drive. They are looking for gently used clothes and shoes in all sizes. If you have anything that you think could benefit someone in need, swing by Fort Greene SNAP’s office at 324 Myrtle Avenue. Drop-off times are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. For more information, call (718) 694-6957.
