Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

With less than a week until Christmas, we’ve seen a plethora of people taking trees home – carried on shoulder, pushed in grocery carts and, our favorite, dragged in plastic sleds. No matter how you got your evergreen home, we’re interested in finding out what type of trees you’re picking up. Just click here to take our quick poll and we’ll post the results before Christmas.

In other news from around the community:

  • The Brooklyn Paper continues to experience the same problems collecting weekly police blotters that we’re having at The Nabe, but there are signs of hope, the paper reported. While the NYPD has reiterated that this is not a change in police policy, only three of 13 Brooklyn precincts continue to deny access to the weekly crime reports, the paper reported. Reporters at The Nabe also lack access the 88th Precinct’s reports – known as “61s” – and have been told that the precinct can only provide an overview of crime, not access to read and copy specific reports.
  • The perspective of Atlantic Yards project renderings may be misleading when it comes to how much skyline the Atlantic Yards B2 residential tower will take up when construction finishes in 2014, according to the Atlantic Yards Report. One particular rendering, “shot from what looks to be both the corner of Dean Street and Flatbush Avenue as well as a position to the east, directly across the street from the Dean Street entrance to the Barclays Center and the loading dock,” is nearly impossible to see in real life, the blog notes. What do you think about the discrepancies, locals?
