Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Get out your galoshes, it’s going to be a wet one. We’ll see rain until around 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Meanwhile, here’s what you need to know for today:

  • Stop by BRIC Arts Media House tonight to celebrate the opening of its new exhibition, “Art Into Music.” Featuring ten visual artists working in a diverse range of media, “Art Into Music” explores the many ways that music inspires us. The free event will feature music by djFRiTZo and a performance at 9 p.m. by the art and music collective Space Meow. The party is from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Gallery at BRIC House, located on 647 Fulton Street.
  • A study conducted by MNS Realty found that the average cost of an apartment in Fort Greene is spiking, DNAinfo reported. Rental prices for studio apartments increased by 5.6 percent over the last month due to a rise in demand and a lack of empty units, according to the report. Currently the average price to rent a studio apartment in the nabe is $2,450 per month.
  • FOKUS and the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership will present a discussion on the impact of the African Diaspora on fashion, art and culture this Friday. Organized as part of Black Artstory Month, the evening will be led by a panel of local fashion luminaries, including Charnier Corey of Leisure Life NYC; Brandice Henderson of  Harlem’s Fashion Row; Jennifer Nnamani  of the Beau Monde Society; and Uchea Nwabuzor of Ana Kata. Afterwards, the audience is invited to join the panelists at Tipsy for a reception and free wine tasting. Attendance is free, but there is limited seating, so make sure to RSVP here. The discussion will start at 6 p.m. at Leisure Life NYC, at 559 Myrtle Avenue.
