Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Snow that was supposed to dust us yesterday missed the city entirely, but clouds still stopped sunshine from warming local sidewalks. Today we’ll get mostly sunny skies, including temperatures in the mid 50s, according to the National Weather Service.

Here’s more news to start your day:

  • Supporters of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Vision Zero plan, which aims to wipe out traffic fatalities in New York City by 2024, installed “20 Is Plenty” signs in the nabe to urge drivers to slow down, Streetsblog NYC reported. The local signs were among the 110 that were zip-tied to sign poles across 12 neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.
  • Want a new home in the nabe? A Greene Avenue rental in Clinton Hill’s Shoe Factory Lofts might have the bright feel you’re looking for, Brownstoner reported. The two-bedroom has lots of amenities, but a $4,250-a-month cost. Do you think it’s worth the price, locals?
  • A redesigned meditation room that opened at the Barclays Center was profiled by the Brooklyn Paper this week. The room, part of the Atlantic Yards Community Benefits Agreement, has been coined as the “Zen den” by the paper – a hint to the respite from urban life that the space is intended to give the public.
