Two well-known local restaurants are up for sale, owned by the trilogy behind Talde Brooklyn (369 7th Avenue at 11th Street).

Both Pork Slope (247 5th Avenue near Carroill Street) and Thistle Hill Tavern (441 7th Avenue at 15th Street) are currently listed on LoopNet.com. In addition to these restaurants, Top Chef-veteran Dale Talde, John Bush, and David Massoni are owners of Talde in Park Slope, as well as Talde Jersey City and Talde Miami Beach. A spokesperson for the team told the Park Slope Stoop, “the spaces are for sale, however at this point we are just exploring options and testing the market.”

According to the Pork Slope LoopNet listing, the restaurant is currently being shopped at $8,440 per month rental and is available as of June 2016. “The landlord has agreed to extend the lease with current terms into new 5+5 or a new 10 year lease. Option to renew possible,” the listing says. Real estate agency Brick & Mortar describes the space as “[i]deal for a turn key restaurant/bar/pub or kid-friendly restaurant with room in the back under the skylight for a fun activity space!”

According to the Thistle Hill Tavern LoopNet listing, the restaurant is currently being shopped for $1.5 million and is available as of June 2016. “Located in the best part of Park Slope. The foot traffic is amazing,” the listing says. Real estate agency Miron Properties is handling the property inquiries.

Talde opened in January 2012, reimagining Asian dishes by the restaurant’s namesake, Chef Dale Talde.

The “Americana bar food” restaurant Pork Slope opened in August 2012, and the beer and whiskey began to flow on 5th Avenue.

While their Thistle Hill Tavern opened in March 2010, Bush and Massoni brought Talde on in October 2012 as Executive Chef and partner. The two originally opened it with Fat Mike of legendary punk band NOFX, but “the ownership team has since brought in Dale Talde of Top Chef fame to right the ship,” according to The Infatuation.

While the two restaurants are up for sale, the spokesperson confirmed the three Taldes in Brooklyn, Jersey City, and Miami Beach are not. Sales of both Pork Slope and Thistle Hill Tavern would certainly place an even further emphasis on Talde Brooklyn.

“We are definitely not giving up on either concept but are looking to organize our portfolio as we have some exciting projects on the horizon in both Brooklyn and NYC over the next year or so that we’re really excited about,” added the spokesperson.
