Cusp Replaces Crespella On 7th Ave, But Still Serving Up Crepes & Coffee

You may not have noticed it, but Crespella recently closed up its first location, at 321 7th Avenue near 9th Street, and has been replaced by Cusp. But if you didn’t realize it, it’s understandable, since not much has changed.

There’s new ownership (and the name and signage, of course), but the staff tells us they’ve got all the same coffees and snacks as before, so if you’re looking for a strawberry Nutella crepe this afternoon, you’ll still be able to find it.

Neighbor Deb Miller, who wrote in to tell us about the switch, says she’s been very impressed so far.

“For the past few weeks I have been getting my coffees and lattes there and it is honestly the best coffee spot I have tried in the Park Slope area,” she says. “Not only is the coffee stuff great but the staff there is made of the friendliest people who always joke and make the morning a little more cheerful. That plus the perfect espresso the last three times I had it really made my day.”

As for Crespella, you can still find them at their other location, 1658 8th Avenue, on the corner of Prospect Ave.

“We really loved our time there but when we were approached by the existing owner we felt it was the right time to move on,” Maria from Crespella tells us. “We spent four years on 7th Ave and feel blessed to have been part of such a great space.”

Crespella (unlike Cusp at the moment) does deliver, and they’ve extended both their delivery area and their hours, plus they’ve got a larger menu, a $10 brunch on the weekends, and a larger space for events and a storytime on Mondays.

So whether you’re looking for coffee and crepes in the North or South Slope, you’ve still got a couple of good options!
