Crime Blotter: Robbery At Bay Ridge Billiard Bar
An unknown sleuth broke into a Bay Ridge billiard bar in April, said cops and business owners.
Status Q, a bar and billiards hall on 3rd Avenue between 82nd and 83rd Streets, was robbed on April 2 between 4:30am and 8:30am, said cops. The culprits busted open the front door, breaking the locks.
Thieves were “a pair of sophisticated criminals wearing hoods, masks, gloves and using their phones to communicate to another person outside of the business during this burglary,” owners said.
Surveillance photos from the bar show each burglar clad in masks, so it is difficult to identify their faces.
The thieves cracked open the ATM machine and stole the bar’s cash register drawer, making off with $790 cash, said owners.
The investigation remains ongoing, said cops.
