Crime Blotter: Home Robber Disguised As Postal Worker, Stolen Eyewear and More
CYPRESS HILLS – Police are looking for a man in connection with a robbery and assault that took place on Monday, November 12 in Cypress Hills.
The suspect punched a 32-year old victim in the face and took $100 from him, according to police. The incident took place on Pine St. and Fulton St. around 2:30 am.
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his twenties last seen wearing all dark clothing.

SHEEPSHEAD BAY – Police are looking for three men in connection with a home robbery that took place on Monday, November 19 in Sheepshead Bay.
One of the suspects posed as a United States Postal Service worker to gain access to the residence near Avenue X and Bedford Avenue, police said. After ringing the doorbell and requesting a signature for a bogus package, the assailant allegedly pepper sprayed the 20-year-old victim, forcing him back inside the home.
Following a scuffle between the two, a second offender came inside the residence, grabbed the victim and put him in a chokehold. The first individual then went into a bedroom of the residence looking through drawers but left the property with nothing. A third person acted as a lookout.
The suspects are described as three black men, with the first ranging from 25- to 35-years-old, about 6’0″ to 6’2″ tall, last seen wearing a United States Postal Service jacket. The second individual is described as heavy set, around 6’2″, last seen wearing a black shirt and a camouflage print bucket hat. The third individual wore all black and had a thin build.

WILLIAMSBURG – Police are looking for a man in connection with an assault and theft on Saturday, November 17 in Williamsburg.
The robbery took place in front of 313 Bedford Avenue around 1:40 am. Police said after briefly engaging the 24-year-old victim in conversation, the suspect grabbed the individual by the neck and threw him to the ground. After punching and kicking the victim, the assailant took the victim’s glasses. When passersby intervened, the suspect fled the scene eastbound on South 2nd Street.
EMS treated the victim at the scene for pain and bruising to his face and body.
The suspect is described as a white man, 5’8″, with blond hair and eyeglasses. He was last seen wearing a red jacket, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.
