Cortelyou/Westminster Intersection Could Get a Traffic Light
At last night’s 70th Precinct Community Council meeting, we spoke to Councilmember Mathieu Eugene briefly about traffic concerns in our area, and he said he has plans for a traffic light at the intersection of Cortelyou and Westminster Roads.
He said he’s got money for other safety improvement projects, and would be interested in working with the community to determine where it is needed most.
So what do you think most needs to be done, and where? Would you like to see firefighter-only parking spots in front of the firehouse to eliminate double parking? A turn signal for cars making the left onto Cortelyou from Coney Island Avenue? Or what other ideas do you have?
