Cortelyou Road Tree Pits Get Spruced Up
The tree pit beds on Cortelyou Road between E 9th St and Coney Island Ave just got spruced up with some pretty new guards, plus some plants and mulch.
Last year, these pits from were tended to by 6-year-old neighbor Isabelle, after she used all the money in her piggy bank to buy flowers for them. A year later, they needed a bit of updating — and many thanks to the neighbors who worked on them this time around!
“So much better than before,” says neighbor Je Suis, who sent the photo.
Anyone know if this is the work of Isabelle and her family again? Or if not them, who?
