Cops Seize Pills, Guns & Motorcycle Parts, Arrest Four In Major Oxycodone Bust
Cops arrested a drug dealing ex-con in Bath Beach last week, seizing pills, guns, and stolen motorcycle parts from a Bay Parkway home.
Officers from the 62nd Precinct raided 8794 Bay Parkway on December 11, after witnessing Ahmad Mohammed, 24, selling pills from the residence, and – in addition to the drugs – discovered a garage full of motorcycle parts with the VIN numbers scratched off, cops said. Mohammed, who has a prior rap sheet for drug and robbery offenses dating back to 2007, was slapped with fresh charges of selling drugs, drug possession, altering a Vehicle Identification Number, and possession of a weapon.
Two weeks ago, three men related to the case were arrested and hit with drug possession charges.
The investigation began on November 29, at 1:36am, when several plainclothes officers in an unmarked car saw Dmitry Kravchenko, 23, approach a man on the corner of Bay Parkway and Bath Avenue, have a conversation with him, and hand him money. The man then handed Kravchenko pills and disappeared into the above-mentioned address. The officers arrested Kravchenko, finding doses of Oxycodone, Ambien, Xanax, and Lorazepam on him, and soon determined the seller to be Mohammed. In addition to drug possession, Kravchenko was charged with intent to sell.
Later that day, the officers returned to the home and watched Mohammed conducting a transaction with Michael Morreale, 26, selling him Oxycodone pills. Mohammed returned inside his house and cops arrested Morreale after finding him in possession of the pills.
Minutes later, other members of the team observed Mohammed come out of his house and sell Oxycodone to David Bobenchik, 33, and then retreat back into his home. The officers caught up with Bobenchik near 21st Avenue and Cropsey Avenue and arrested him. Bobenchik was also found to be in possession of Oxycodone and charged accordingly.
The officers were then granted a warrant to search the Bay Parkway home and on December 11 at 6:15am they seized 291 Oxycodone pills, .06 ounces of Molly, 64 Klonopin pills, and 14 ounces of an unidentified white powder. In addition, they collected a pill press, over $3000 in cash, seven motorcycles, numerous motorcycle spare parts, a gravity knife, and two air guns from residence. Ahmed was placed under arrest without incident.
After inspecting the motorcycles and the parts, cops noticed that the VIN numbers were defaced and that Mohammed was replacing parts of motorcycles that had VIN numbers with parts missing the VIN number.
