Cops Seek Suspect In Borough Park Subway Robbery


Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a D train passenger at knifepoint last Wednesday near Borough Park.

According to police reports, the suspect brandished a knife to a 45-year-old man on the southbound D train approaching the Fort Hamilton Parkway station, on June 15 at 5:15am. “Give me the phone, I don’t want to cut you. hurry up,” he barked, then grabbed the victim’s Samsung cellphone before running toward the closed end of the mezzanine above the train platform, say cops.

The suspect is described as a hispanic man with short black hair in his mid-20s, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and about 160 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and tan cargo pants, according to police reports.
