Cops Seek Burglary Suspect Who Allegedly Bought Food With Victim’s Phone App
Police are looking for a man they say stole property from a Greenpoint apartment late last month, then used an app on a stolen phone to purchase food at a Fort Greene store.
Cops say the burglary was committed around 3:30am on Thursday, July 24. The suspect reportedly entered his victims’ apartment, located in the 94th Precinct, through a front bedroom window, making off with two laptops and two cell phones.
Later, he bought food at Farmers in the Deli (357 Myrtle Avenue at Adelphi Street) with an app on one of those cell phones. His photo was recovered via the store’s security footage.
