Cops Search For Suspect In Sunset Park Assault [Video]
Cops are asking for the public’s help locating a man who punched a 78-year-old victim and threw him against a wall in a Sunset Park apartment building.
The assault took place early Sunday morning, April 30 at 5am inside of a building near 8th Avenue and 50th Street, said cops. The suspect is caught on surveillance video beating the victim, then grabbing him and shoving him against a wall. After the assault, the suspect fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center where he was treated for lacerations to his face and head.
The suspect is described by police as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black and white shirt with black pants.
