Cops Search For Q Train Sexual Assault Suspect [Video]
Help cops find a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman on the Q train at Church Avenue.
A 55-year-old woman dozing off on a southbound Q train awoke near Church Avenue to find a man rubbing her knee on Sunday, October 16 at 1:20am. Then, the man began rubbing his penis on her shoulder, said cops.
When the train pulled into Church Avenue, the suspect fled the train and headed westbound on Church Avenue, according to police reports.
The suspect is described by police as a Hispanic man, 45 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall, and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a dark-colored baseball cap, and white and black sneakers.
The NYPD-issued surveillance footage above shows the suspect walking down the street.

This isn’t the first assault on the Q train reported this year. In April, thieves snatched phones from two women’s hands near the Cortelyou Road and Prospect Park stops, respectively; in September, a 55-year-old woman was pushed down the stairs at Newkirk Plaza, and in November, a 34-year-old woman was punched in the face at the Avenue M stop during rush hour.
