Cops Release Image Of Alleged Cell Phone Thieves Who Fled From The Lafayette Avenue C Station

A home surveillance camera caught images of two of three suspects wanted for a cell phone robbery on the C train as it approached the Lafayette Avenue station, and now police are hoping someone recognizes them.

The two suspects are described as black males between 17 and 19 years old, standing around 5-feet-11-inches to six-feet tall.

According to police, they, along with a colleague, allegedly approached a 24-year-old straphanger at around 1:25pm last Monday, October 26 and “forcibly removed his Samsung Galaxy S6 cellphone by holding him down and ripping it from his hand” before fleeing on foot.
