He wanted a $3 beer. Now he has a $2,500 bounty on his head.

Cops are searching for man who allegedly shoved a grocery clerk into a cooler when the employee tried to block him from stealing a $3 bottle of bud light. Police say the robbery happened on Thursday, February 11, at the F & S Grocery store near Avenue X and West 2nd Street.

The employee, who asked not to be identified, said this wasn’t the first time the man has come to raid the beer cooler. And he has continued to terrorize the employee since police got involved.

“He’s very scary. He always wants to scare me,” the employee said. “And if he sees that I’m in the store alone, he’ll try to come in.”

The employee said he still sees his attacker passing by the store. He returned days later with a friend to steal more beer and once threatened to fight the employee after a wanted poster showed outside, the employee said.
