Cops Looking For These Yeezy Sneaker Thieves

DITMAS PARK/ FLATBUSH. NYPD have released two surveillance videos of suspects in a string of broad daylight robberies in Ditmas Park and Flatbush going back to late April, at least four of which involved the pricey Adidas Yeezy sneakers.

In each case, cops allege, an individual(s) agree on Facebook to meet the victim in order to purchase a product being sold. When they meet, suspects display a firearm and remove the victim’s property.

Here are the details on individual incidents:

1: On Friday, April 28, 2017 at approximately 10:40am an individual removed 21 year-old man’s Adidas sneakers in front of 2597 Bedford Avenue.

2: On Friday, May 5, 2017 at approximately 09:40am, an individual simulated a firearm and removed the 18 year-old man’s Yeezy sneakers in the vicinity of Avenue D and East 25 Street.

3: On Friday, June 16, 2017 at approximately 3:40pm two individuals approached 17 year-old man in the vicinity of Cortelyou Road and East 21 Street and displayed a firearm. The individuals removed a pair of Yeezy sneakers and fled.

4: On Friday, June 23, 2017 between 11:50am and 12:06pm the individual displayed a firearm inside Burger King, located at 2848 Church Avenue, and demanded the 16 year-old victim’s property.  The individual removed Yeezy sneakers, an iPhone, and a backpack.

5:  On Monday, July 10, 2017 at approximately 11:54am hours the individual displayed a firearm to the 18 year-old man inside Burger King, located at 2848 Church Avenue.  The individual removed the victim’s Apple Watch and $229 in cash.

6:  On Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at approximately 11:10am the individual walked up to the 20 year-old man inside the Newkirk Avenue “5” train subway station and punched him in is face.  The individual removed two pairs of Yeezy sneakers and fled.
