Cops Identify Suspect Wanted For Coney Island Rape And Robbery
Cops have released the name and photo of the man they believe raped a Coney Island woman at gunpoint Sunday and then committed an armed robbery an hour later.
Police say 31-year-old Raji Wilson is the suspect responsible for both attacks.
The first assault occurred at 9pm when Wilson allegedly followed a 20-year-old woman into an elevator at her Coney Island apartment building. When she got off at her floor, police say Wilson grabbed her a pulled her at gunpoint into a stairwell, where he raped her and stole her cash and keys. Police did provide the address where the sexual assault took place.
An hour later, Cops say Wilson followed a 46-year-old woman out of an elevator in the Luna Park housing complex. He drew his gun and robbed $30 from her purse, according to authorities.
Police say Wilson is five feet, eight inches tall and 160 pounds.
