Police have taken a 21-year-old mother into custody after she allegedly abandoned her child in a stroller on Avenue V and went to party late Sunday night.

The woman left her 6-week-old son in a stroller between two parked cars at East 9th Street and Avenue V, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police told the Daily News.

After stumbling across the baby, a good Samaritan informed 911, and the child was taken to Coney Island Hospital. Authorities discovered the mother’s cell phone left with the child, and used it to track her down.

She was found a block away from where the baby was left, and taken to the hospital for intoxication.

Both the mother and child were discharged from the hospital. The boy did not have any bruises or other injuries, a source at the hospital told Sheepshead Bites, and the case has been referred to child services.

The mother, meanwhile, is expected to be charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child, and more charges could be added, according to the Daily News.
